The atlas will contain 1:96,500 scale full-color maps that show all trails, high points, low points, waterfalls, forest cover, spot elevations, backcountry campsites, and a UTM grid and GEO graticule for use with GPS. A companion booklet and insets will discuss trail statistics, such cumulative elevation gain/loss and start/end points, climate for different elevations, park amenities, and historic structures found along the trails.

What makes this new map unique are the many spot elevations given to trail intersections, campsites, geologic features, and trailheads. The GEO graticule is provided at 1-minute intervals and the UTM is at a 10k interval with 5k supplemental tic marks. This map is designed for easy use with consumer GPS units.

Another unique feature is the bird’s eye view map we added to help users spot the highest points and ridgelines in the park.
