We&#8217;ve called the project\u00c2\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.outragegis.com\/weather\/img\/animation\/yesterday\/\">Yesterday in the Great Smokies<\/a> and offer a daily archive for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.outragegis.com\/weather\/img\/animation\/\">past three calendar years<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The August total solar eclipse in the southern Great Smokies offered a great opportunity to showcase some unique images from the archive.\u00c2\u00a0<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>We use a process of downloading webcam images and creating animated GIFs with a collection of\u00c2\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/boydx\/outrageGIS-weather-stations\">Bash shell scripts<\/a>. We&#8217;ve been collecting weather data for some time.
